Apple Crisp 66 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 cups sliced apples (4-5 apples)
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter, softened
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions
Heat oven to 375°. Arrange sliced apples in greased square pan (8x8x2 inches). Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl; sprinkle over apples. Bake until topping is golden brown and apples are tender, about 30 minutes. Serve warm, and, if desired, with cream or ice cream. Makes approx. 6 servings. Recipe may be doubled. Can substitute other fruit such as apricots, berries, cherries, peaches or pineapple for the apples; if doing so, use the lesser amount of brown sugar.
