Small Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup warm milk with 1 tablespoon vinegar or use buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions
Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, cocoa and soda. Beat until smooth. Add flour and salt. Add warm milk and vanilla. Bake in an 8" x 8" pan for 20 minutes at 350°.
