Buttermilk Cake 4 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 3 cups flour
Directions
Cream sugar and crisco. Add eggs. Mix well. Add soda to buttermilk and stir. Add to creamed mixture. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix with sugar and eggs. Add extracts and mix well. Bake in a greased and floured angel food pan at 350° for 1 hour or until brown.
