Devils Chocolate Cake (from scratch) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 Eggs
Directions
In large bowl beat on low speed the sugar, shortening, vanilla and milk.

In a small bowl combine the flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda.

Add dry ingredients to large bowl and mix on low speed until almost combined, then add one egg at a time until all ingredients are well mixed.

Pour all batter into a greased and floured Bundt pan.Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes.
