Amish Coconut Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/3 cup coconut
  • 1 Unbaked Pie Shell
Directions
Combine sugar, beaten egg yolks, milk, cream, vanilla and coconut. Mix well. Beat egg whites and fold into mixture. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to 350° and continue to bake for 35 minutes or until it becomes firm.
