Sausage Gratin Recipe

  • 1 pound frozen Premio mild Italian sausage - cooked and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 onion - sliced
  • 1 clove garlic - minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms - sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli - cut bite size
  • 1/2 cup white wine (your favorite type)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (your favorite type)
  • 1 cup cream
  • Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  • In a skillet, cook onion and garlic with butter for about 5 minutes.
  • Add mushrooms and broccoli and cook about 2 minutes.
  • Add cooked sliced sausages and the white wine. When the liquid begins boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and cook another 5 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9 1/2-inch diameter x 1 1/2-inch deep Pyrex pie plate.
  • Pour the cream on top and sprinkle on the cheese.
  • Bake in the oven until the cheese bubbles.
