Jam Cake with Caramel Icing Recipe

  • 1 box Spice Cake Mix
  • 1 can apple pie filling, chopped
  • 1 cup seedless blackberry jam
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup Margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup sifted, powdered sugar
Mix first 5 ingredients; put in 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until test done. For icing, melt butter and add brown sugar. Cook about 2 minutes, add milk, bring to a boil. Cool. Add powdered sugar beating to spreading consistency.
