Barbecued Bratwurst and Beans Recipe

  • 16 ounces Premio Beer Bratwurst - sliced to 1/2 inch
  • 4 cans light red kidney beans - drained
  • 29 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup vidalia onion - chopped
  • 1 cup green bell pepper - chopped
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic - minced
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons brown mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • Defrost sausage.
  • Saute onion, bell pepper, and garlic in olive oil in large frying pan.
  • Add sausage, stirring and cooking about 8 minutes.
  • Stir in tomatoes, light brown sugar, mustard, and chili powder.
  • Bring to a boil. Add beans. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally.
