Spicy Sausage Ring Recipe

You may make your favorite scrambled eggs to place in the middle for a great breakfast. Or you can make your favorite salad for a lunch or brunch meal.

  • 16 ounces package Premio frozen pepper and onion mushroom sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup snipped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon lime pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups baking mix (I use bisquick)
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cook and crumble sausage.
  • Mix sausage, onion, cheese, cilantro, lime pepper and red pepper flakes set aside.
  • Stir baking mix and water into a soft dough. Knead five or 6 times on floured board. Roll into rectangle. about 14x10 inches. Spread with sausage mixture. Roll up beginning with long side. With sealed edge down shape into a ring on greased cookie sheet making sure all ends are sealed. Score ring at 1 inch intervals . Make sure sausage filling is visable. Brush with beaten egg. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
