RIPE TOMATO RELISH 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 onions (medium)
  • 4 bell peppers
  • 2 hot peppers or to taste (small)
  • 1 gallon ripe tomatoes
  • 6 cups sugar
  • 6 cups vinegar
  • 1/4 box pickling spice
  • Salt to taste
Directions
Peel and cut tomatoes. Grind onions and peppers together. Mix all ingredients and cook until well done with little juice Put in hot jars while mixture is very hot and seal.

CANNING TIP: When I don't want my pickling spice or any other spice directly in my canning product, instead of tying in a cloth bag, put them in a tea ball. They flavor better and clean up is easy too.
