ITALIAN CREAM CHEESE COOKIES Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable shortening
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon almond extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups mini chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. The secret to this cookie is to add the first 4 ingredients and mix to a creamy texture, but not too creamy. Do not overmix. Add the flour and chips and nuts and stir to combine. Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until bottom is lightly brown.
