Frosted Graham Cracker Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 7 full crackers)
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 cup coconut
  • graham crackers
  • FROSTING:
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • Cook together sugar, milk, margarine and egg. Let come to a boil.
  • Add graham cracker crumbs, nuts and coconut to the mixture.
  • Cover bottom of pan with whole crackers. Pour hot mixture over crackers.
  • Top with another layer of whole crackers.
  • Mix frosting ingredients until creamy smooth; spread over top. If frosting is too stiff to spread well, add a few drops of milk.
  • Refrigerate. Cut into squares. Freezes well.
A layer of sweetness is sandwiched between layers of graham crackers and then topped with creamy frosting. These delicious bars are sure to be a hit.
