Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

  • 1 pound beef sirloin steak, 3/4 inch thick.
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms (6 oz)
  • 3/4 diced onions
  • 1 can (10 1/2 oz) Beef Gravy
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 4 cups cooked medium egg noodles (about 4 cups Dry)
Container: medium skillet
  • Slice beef into very thin strips.
  • In a medium skillet over medium- high heat, heat half the margarine.
  • Add beef and cook until browned, stirring often. Set beef aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining margarine. Add mushrooms and onions and cook until tender.
  • Add gravy and pepper. Heat through.
  • Reduce heat to low. Stir in sour cream. Return beef to pan and heat through.
  • Serve over noodles.
