Baked Deli Focaccia Sandwich Recipe

Warm sandwich filled with flavor. The Italian seasoning adds just the right touch to the tomatoes and melted cheese. This is the perfect sandwich beside a bowl of soup.

  • 1 focaccia bread
  • 1/4 pesto
  • 1/4 deli ham, sliced
  • 1/4 deli smoked turkey, sliced
  • 1/4 deli pastrami, sliced
  • 5 Provolone or American cheese
  • 1/3 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 Italian seasoning
Container: Baking sheet
  • Cut focaccia horizontally in half; spread pesto over cut sides.
  • On bread bottom, layer the ham, turkey, pastrami, cheese, onion, and tomato. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  • Replace bread top; wrap in foil.
  • Place on baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until heated through. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Cut into wedges.

"Great sandwich idea. I had picked up a loaf of black pepper focaccia at the store and needed to use it. I left the pesto off and had everybody add their own sauce after it baked. Everybody loved it."
