Ingredients
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • 1 cup sugar
  • TOPPING:
  • 4 ounces strawberry Jello
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • Fresh strawberries

  • Combine cake mix, eggs, and butter. Mix and spread w/greased hands on a well greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes; allow to cool completely.
  • Cream together cream cheese, Cool Whip, and sugar until smooth; spread on cooled crust.
  • Combine first 4 topping ingredients in saucepan and boil until sugar is dissolved.
  • Mix sliced strawberries in Jello mixture or arrange them on cream cheese.
  • Pour Jello mixture over cream cheese layer; chill 3 hours.
