Crock Pot Beef Stew and Rice Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound stew beef
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 package onion soup mix (dry)
  • 4 potatoes - diced
  • 4 carrots - chopped
  • 2 cups uncooked Minute Rice
Container: 6-quart slow cooker
Directions
COOK

  • In a heavy skillet, brown the beef.
  • To the slow cooker, add the beef and all of the other ingredients except the rice.
  • Cover and cook on the low heat setting for 8 - 10 hours or on the high heat setting for 4 - 5 hours.
  • Before serving, add the rice, cover, and cook an additional 45 minutes or until the rice is tender.
