Scotcharoo Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups light corn (Karo) syrup
  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 6 cups cocoa crispies (optional)
  • 7 cups rice crispies (increase to 13 cups if not using cocoa crispies)
  • 1 package chocolate chips
  • 1 package butterscotch chips
Container: 12- x 17-inch bar pan

  • Heat the sugar and syrup in a saucepan on the stovetop until the sugar is dissolved into the syrup.
  • Add the 2 cups of peanut butter to the mixture; stir and pour over the cocoa crispies and rice crispies.
  • Spread the mixture in a 12- x 17-inch bar pan.
  • Frost the bars with a combination of chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Simply melt the chips in a bowl in the microwave; then spread the mixture over the bars.
