Krispie Salted Nut Roll Bars Recipe

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 12 ounces peanut butter chips
  • 2 cups salted peanuts
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
Container: 9- x 13-inch cake pan

  • Combine the yellow cake mix, egg, and melted margarine. Press into 9- x 13-inch cake pan. Bake at 350ºF for 12 minutes.
  • Cover the baked cake layer with the marshmallows. Bake until fluffy (1 to 2 minutes).
  • In a saucepan, heat the corn syrup, margarine (the 1/4 cup that is not pre-melted), vanilla, and peanut butter chips until melted.
  • Add peanuts and the Rice Krispies to the syrup mixture; then spread this mixture over the marshmallow layer.
  • Refrigerate before slicing and serving.
