Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Crispy and chewy cookies. These cookies have just the right amount of chocolate chips in them, too. These freeze well, if you have any leftover.

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
  • Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
  • In a separate bowl, blend the flour, baking soda and salt; then add this dry mixture to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  • Add the oatmeal and chocolate chips. Mix well.
  • Bake at 325° F. for 10-12 minutes.
  • Cool the cookies on wire racks.
