Chocolate Macaroons Recipe

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 4 squares chocolate, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
Mix in above order and refrigerate. When cold and firm, (4 hrs or overnight) Roll 1 tsp at a time to round balls. Roll in confectioners sugar and bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
