Crème de Menthe Brownies Recipe

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, divided
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 16 ounces Hershey's chocolate syrup
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Creme de Menthe
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
Container: 10- x 15-inch baking pan

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Cream one-third of the butter with all of the sugar.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
  • Stir in the flour, vanilla, and chocolate syrup.
  • Bake in an ungreased 10- x 15-inch pan for 20-30 minutes. Cool.
  • Melt another third of the butter. Combine with the powdered sugar and Crème de Menthe. Spread over the first layer. Chill until firm.
  • Melt the remaining third of the butter with the chocolate chips; spread over the top. Cut into bars before the top layer cools completely.
  • Store in a cool place.
