Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Container: 9- x 13-inch baking dish

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the margarine and sugars until light and fluffy; beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  • Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread on a lightly greased 9- x 13-inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool, slice, and serve.
