Butterscotch Cream Cheese Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces butterscotch chips (one package)
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • Melt butterscotch chips and margarine and mix together.
  • Stir in cracker crumbs and pecans.
  • Press half this mixture in a 9 X 13 pan.
  • Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add condensed milk, egg, and vanilla and beat until blended. Spread over first layer and top with remaining crumb mixture.
  • Bake at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes. Cool; then chill, covered in the refrigerator before cutting the bars.
