Blonde Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Container: 9 x 13-inch baking pan
Directions

  • Blend dry ingredients.
  • Melt margarine; add brown sugar to the margarine.
  • Blend in eggs and vanilla; then add dry ingredients and blend well.
  • Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Top with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes.
