Banana Bars with Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
  • BATTER:
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • salt (pinch)
  • FROSTING:
  • 8 packages cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
Container: 10x15-inch baking pan

  • Cream margarine and sugar together.
  • Beat in eggs, banana, and vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the butter mixture into the flour mixture by making a valley and spooning together.
  • Bake at 350ºF in a 10x15-inch baking pan for 17-25 minutes.
  • Frost when cool.
