Cherry Cheese Coffee Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces cream cheese - softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg - separated
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 16 ounces refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling

  • Unroll crescent dough and reserve 4 triangles for decoration.
  • Separate remaining dough and arrange on cookie sheet.
  • Roll and seal seams.
  • Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture over dough.
  • Top with pie filling.
  • Use remaining dough and twist into strips for decorating.
  • Bake at 350° F for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden brown.
