Ingredients
  • 20 ounces pineapple chunks in natural juices
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 11 ounces mandarin oranges - drained
  • 3 apples - favorite variety, more if desired, unpeeled and diced
  • 3 bananas - sliced

  • Drain the pineapple but reserve 3/4 cup of the juice.
  • Combine the sugar, cornstarch, pineapple juice, orange juice and lemon juice in a small saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly and then cook and stir for one minute more.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • In a medium serving bowl, combine the pineapple, oranges, apples and bananas.
  • Pour the warm syrup over the top and stir to combine.
  • Cover and refrigerate until cooled through.
