Holiday Cookie Sparklers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Margarine
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
In large bowl, cream together margarine and sugar, add corn syrup, lemon juice and egg. Mix well. Add flour with salt and blend well. Cover, refrigerate at least 1 hour. On floured surface, roll out dough 1/3 at a time to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into desired shape. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 12 - 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove and cool on racks. Decorate as desired. Makes 10 dozen.
