Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package Hershey Kisses, unwrapped

Cream together shortening, peanut butter and sugars.

Add egg, milk and vanilla.

Mix flour, soda and salt together, then add to cream mixture.

Roll into balls and roll each in sugar before placing on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.

Immediately place a kiss in the center of each cookie after removing from oven.

"A must-bake over the holidays. Certain family members would miss these if I skipped them. I do roll small balls, making more than 48 to have a better ratio of cookie to chocolate."
