Christmas Rock Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved inch 2 teaspoon hot water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 pound raisins
  • 1/2 cup candied cherries
  • 3/4 cup mixed candied fruit
  • 4 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 pound chopped dates
Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and soda mixture. Combine flour, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, raisins, cherries, fruit, nuts and dates. Add to egg mixture. Drop by teaspoons and bake at 350° for 5 to 8 minutes.
