Sweet and Sour Pork Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds pork, cubed
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 Green Pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, curled
  • 2/3 cup chunk pineapple, save the juice
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Dipping batter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon Accent
Directions
Simmer pork in water, soy sauce, & sugar for 45 minutes. Drain. Cook green pepper, carrot, and pineapple in the butter for a few minutes. Cook until hot, do not fry. Prepare dipping batter; dip cooled pork into batter and fry in deep, hot fat until brown. Make the Sauce, recipe following.
