Butter Rum Cake 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • Cake
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding (3.4 ounce box)
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon rum or rum flavoring
  • 1 cup water
  • Syrup
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum or rum flavoring
Directions
Mix the first 6 ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 40-50 minutes. Syrup: Heat all ingredients except rum to boiling. Boil 1-2 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; add rum. Pour hot syrup over cake (still in pan). Let stand 30 minutes before removing. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Does not have to be served warm and left-overs should be stored in the fridge.
