Black Bottom Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Mix cream cheese, 1/3 C. sugar. 1/8 tsp. salt, egg and chocolate chips together, then set aside. Sift flour, 1 C. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, soda and cocoa together. Add oil, water, vinegar and vanilla to flour mixture. Put cake mixture into greased 9 x 13-inch pan or cupcake papers. Place spoonful of cream cheese mixture on top of each cupcake or over top of cake. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
