Fresh Tortilla Strips Recipe

Here’s an easy way to prepare your own crispy tortilla chips: Simply cut your favorite tortillas into wedges and deep-fry. Season them any way you like, and enjoy them with fresh homemade salsa. Delicious!

Ingredients
canola oil
6 tortillas - 6 inch, any flavor you like, cut into wedges
salt or black sesame seeds

Line baking sheet with paper towel.
Fill skillet with 3 inches of oil.
Heat oil over high heat until it registers 350° on candy thermometer.
Drop about 6 slices tortillas into oil and cook for 45 seconds or until chips are crisp and golden.
Flip once.
Remove with tongs or wire mesh strainer.
Transfer to lined baking sheet.
Salt generously or season with seeds.
Repeat with rest of wedges.
Serve with salsa.
