Peanut Butter Mounds Recipe

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 cups cornflakes
  • 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons maraschino cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Mix flour, soda and salt. Set aside.

Mix butter and peanut butter.

Add brown sugar, white sugar and egg to butter mixture.

Then add dry ingredients.

Roll into balls the size of walnuts and flatten with fork.

For topping, mix all ingredients together.

Top each cookie with 2 tablespoons of cornflake topping.

Bake cookies at 375°.
