German Pork Chops Recipe

A delicious old-fashioned pork chop recipe that combines the chops with sauerkraut and sliced potatoes for a satisfying one-pot meal. This easy to prepare slow cooker recipe is perfect for busy people who have limited time for food preparation but want a great tasting dish with very little cleanup.
Directions
  • Heat cooking oil and brown chops.
  • Layer sliced potatoes then onion, pour soup over and spread out.
  • Layer cabbage, sliced apple, pork chops and sauerkraut on top.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 pork chops
- 3 baking potatoes - unpeeled, sliced into 1/4 slices
- 1 onion - sliced into thin rings
- 1/2 cabbage head - green, shredded
- 1 apple - green, peeled, quartered, sliced
- 1 can Bavarian sauerkraut, drained
- 1 can cream of celery soup (10 3/4 oz)
