TOMATO BASIL QUICHE Recipe

Ingredients
  • CRUST:
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup chilled butter
  • 1 egg
  • QUICHE
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 Roma tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh slivered basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced chives
  • 3 eggs (large)
  • 3/4 cup half & half
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground bell pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
Mix, flour, butter and egg in food processor. Press in tart pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.

Preheat oven at 400°. Put cheese in shell, tomato, basil and chives. Mix 25 minutes until custard is firm.
