Ingredients
  • 1 pound tomatillos
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1 small lime, sliced thinly, seeds removed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch hot red pepper flakes. or 1/8 tsp hot sauce, or to taste

  • Prepare tomatillos: remove husks and wash to remove sticky coating. Cut into quarters.
  • Put cut-up tomatillos into food processor with all remaining ingredients and pulse until well chopped, but not puréed.
  • Use immediately, or refrigerate for later use.
