YEAST ROLLS 23 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup plus 2 T. milk
  • 4 teaspoons yeast
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
Directions
Mix dry ingredients except yeast and sugar. Sift. Blend in Crisco. Dissolve yeast and sugar in the water and milk. Mix with dry ingredients and let rise at least 20 minutes in warm place. Knead, roll out, cut or shape, and place in pan. Let rise again and bake at 450° until brown. Baste with butter while hot.
