Rye Bread 4 Recipe

  • 1 package yeast inch 1 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 cups rye flour
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 3/4 cups white flour
Mix the first 4 ingredients together well. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well. Knead. Let dough rest 10 minutes. Knead again and let rise again.

Punch down, let rise again.

Make into loaves. Let rise

Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
