Old Fashion Corn Bread 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups Robin Hood self-rising cornmeal
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh buttermilk
Directions
Mix the above ingredients together. Bake in iron skillet which has been heated, greased and sprinkled with meal. Bake in preheated 450° oven until brown. Serves 6.
