New York Strip with Zesty Barbecue Sauce Recipe (+)
Directions
BARBECUE SAUCE:
Whisk all of the sauce ingredients together in a saucepan with 1/2 cup of water.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
NEW YORK STRIPS:
Trim off any excess fat from the steaks as desired.
Let the steaks stand at room temperature for 20 minutes before grilling.
Chop the garlic.
Sprinkle kosher salt onto the garlic. With the flat side of a knife blade, crush the garlic and salt together to create a paste.
Mix this paste in a small bowl with the oil, rosemary and pepper.
Rub this mixture onto both sides of the steaks.
Heat the grill to medium.
Grill for 6 minutes, turning once, for medium rare. For medium, grill for 8 minutes.
Serve hot off the grill with barbecue sauce.
