"what a GREAT simple recipe. I made it over the weekend. What a treat...and my house smelled like heaven! I tried with both a light beer and a dark beer...."

Ingredients
  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 can beer, room temperature (12 ounce can)
Directions
Mix ingredients. Place in a greased loaf pan and bake in a 350° oven for about 45 minutes. Test with toothpick, if comes out clean it is done.

I preferred the dark beer, it gave it a richness that was delicious. The light beer loaf was fantastic also. Just a personal preferrence with the dark. I recommed this recipe..A quick impressive addition to any meal. Your family will be impressed!!!"
