Italian Cheese Bread 5 Recipe

Ingredients
  • Bread
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 package active dry yeast (1 T. pkg)
  • 1 cup warm water (120°)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Topping
  • 1/4 cup Italian salad dressing
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder,
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon Thyme
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese, your choice
Directions
Combine dry ingredients (can skip oregano and thyme and use 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning instead). Combine water and oil, then stir into flour mixture. Knead in additional flour to form soft dough. You can let it rise for 20 minutes if you have time, otherwise, this is not necessary. Spread dough on greased 16-inch pizza pan or cookie sheet. Brush with Italian dressing. Sprinkle with seasonings and cheeses. Let rest for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 450°. Bake 11-15 minutes or until golden. Cut into wedges or slices and serve warm.
