Southern Peach Bread Recipe

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups fresh sliced peaches
  • 2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed & undiluted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Cream butter, gradually adding sugar and beat well. Add eggs one at a time beating well. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add creamed mixture to dry ingredients, alternating with the sliced peaches. Stir in orange juice concentrate and vanilla. Pour batter into greased and floured 9-inch loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove and cool completely.
