SWEET YEAST ROLLS Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter-flavored Crisco shortening
  • 8 cups flour
Directions
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Scald milk (cool to warm). Add yeast, eggs, sugar, salt, and shortening. Add flour 1/2 at a time. First rise = 2 hours. Work into rolls. Second rise = 45 minutes. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Makes 2, 9x13" pans, of dinner rolls.
