Harvest Loaf Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 2 large loaf pans (or 3 medium). Combine flour, baking soda and spices. Cream together margarine, sugar and eggs; beat together. Add pumpkin. Mix dry ingredients with pumpkin mixture. Add chocolate chips and 1 c. nuts. Pour into pans. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake 60-70 minutes. Cool and remove from pans. Drizzle with glaze: 1/2 c. powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg and cinnamon, 1/2 Tbsp. milk or cream.
