Homemade Eggnog 4 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 Eggs, Separated
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups whole milk, scalded
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Beat 1/2 cup sugar and egg yolks together. Add in 1/4 tsp salt. Stir in milk slowly. Cook in double boiler until mixture coats spoon. Cool. Beat egg whites with 1/2 tsp salt until stiff. Add 1/4 cup sugar and mix again. Fold egg white mixture into milk mixture then add vanilla. Chill Yield 6-8 servings.
