Wassail in the Crock Pot Recipe

Hot apple cider spiced up a notch. Be sure to strain out the spices and fruit so it doesn't get too spicy. Perfect on a cold snowy day or served on the holidays.

Ingredients
  • 2 quarts apple cider or apple juice
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 1 orange, studded with whole cloves, sliced
  • 1 cup rum (optional)

Place all ingredients in a crock pot on high for 1 hour.

Strain out the spices and fruit.

Reduce heat to low to keep warm while serving.

Serve beside rum for adults who may want to add a little in.
