Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 1/4 cups French fried onions
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 red pepper - cut in strips
  • 1 green pepper - cut in strips
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes, sliced
  • Sliced onion (optional)

  • Combine the mayonnaise, mustard and sour cream; stir to mix and then set aside to use later.
  • Add the French fried onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and pepper to the ground beef. Use your hands to mix in the ingredients.
  • Make ground beef into 8 patties.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill or a grill pan on the stovetop.
  • Grill on high heat until they are to your desired doneness.
  • Remove the burgers and then grill the peppers until lightly charred.
  • To serve, place a burger on a bun, add the mustard/mayo sauce, and top with grilled peppers, lettuce and tomato.

"The grilled peppers were great on this California burger. I liked the French fried onions in the hamburger also. I just a grill pan for both the burgers and peppers since it has been about 5 degrees below zero the last couple of days. They still turned out great using the grill pan."
